Monthly Skins
The Game
Once a month a bunch of us play 18 holes, and every hole is worth one skin. Lowest score on a hole takes the skin. That’s the whole game.
Ties carry
Nobody splits a hole.
If two players tie for the low score on a hole, no one wins that skin. It carries to the next hole, which is now worth two. Tie again and it’s worth three.
Anything still unclaimed after the 18th doesn’t disappear — it rides into next month’s game. That’s why some months start out already worth more than others.
All skill levels
Net scoring means anyone can win.
We don’t play raw scores. Everyone has a handicap index — a number that says roughly how many strokes over par you usually are — and those strokes come off your score before skins are counted.
So a 24-handicap who plays their normal round can take a skin off a 6. Newer players win holes here all the time. If you’ve never had a handicap, Drew will help you set a starting number.
How it runs
One round a month.
The host picks the date, books the course, and keeps the card. Mornings, same crowd plus whoever gets vouched in.
Afterwards everyone sits down together. Scores get recorded, the results are read out, and winnings are paid.
The site handles the date, the seats, and the reminders. Everything else happens at the table.
How you get in
Someone vouches, Drew says yes.
- A member vouches for you. They send you a private link — the one that probably brought you here.
- Drew reviews it. He sees your name with your friend’s name attached. It’s usually a day or two.
- You’re in. Once you’re approved you can reserve a spot for the next round — spots are limited and go in order.
It’s a private game, so there’s no public sign-up and no list of who plays. Asking to join takes a phone number to verify it’s you, and nothing else.
